ISES 25th Anniversary
In 1987 The International Special Events Society was founded to bring together special event professionals through education, networking, and ethics. ISES has grown to include over 7,200 members. The South Jersey Chapter of ISES is among the 49 chapters throughout the world. Join us as we kick off this 2012 celebration with an evening full of excitement, surprises, VIP guests, and prizes.
Psychology of Events
Using a company's corporate colors. Hosting an event outdoors. Honoring a recipient using live testimonials. Adding surprises to an experience. Each of these has certain considerations to take into account - budget, logistics etc. But how often are the psychological effects of our event design choices taken into consideration? This presentation will explore the human mind, the various needs we as human beings have, and how through event design we can achieve the greatest impact on guests.
Learning Objectives
- Launch individual practitioner searches into current experiments
- Better understand how people process and value forms of communication
- Methods to impact how a guest thinks and feels during an event
