It has been a great year and we hope you’ll join us at our 2nd Annual ISES NJ South family reunion at the Valenzano Winery in Shamong, NJ on Thursday, June 17th, 2010. Each ISES member is guaranteed a BMW: Barbecue, Mingling, and Wine tasting! We will be inducting our new board for the 2010-2011 year so be sure to come out and meet next year’s leadership team. This is the last time we will be together until the fall; let’s let the year go out with a bang!

In 1996 Valenzano Winery became a licensed winery. In that initial year less than 500 gallons of wines were produced and a few accounts were opened with local fine wine stores. Since then, Valenzano Winery expanded to three locations including the recently completed new production facility on their farm at 1090 Route 206 in Shamong. This new, state-of-the-art facility gives Valenzano Winery the ability to increase production to almost 30,000 gallons and 150,000 bottles per year while utilizing the most advanced methods of oenology and viticulture. A new barrel aging system will allow production of some of the most flavorful and fulfilling dry reds and unique white wines available on the market today.
By specializing in specific grapes, Valenzano Winery has fine-tuned our production and has won numerous awards attesting to our wine’s quality. Cynthiana, also known as ‘Norton,’ the only North American varietal which can produce a big, bold, old-world style table wine, has garnered us the coveted Governor’s Cup two years in a row -- a first in the Governor’s Cup competition! Other Valenzano Winery produced varietals are Chambourcin (our signature red wine), Cabernet Franc, Vidal Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Available at most South Jersey fine wine stores, Valenzano wines are now being sold in northern New Jersey as well and Valenzano Winery grapevines can be found not only at our three Shamong locations, but at over a dozen local farms throughout South Jersey including Atco, Vineland, Hammonton, Tabernacle and Mullica Hill.
